PPAP Audit & Documentation

Full Production Part Approval Process support — audit coordination, documentation compilation, and submission management.

The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is a rigorous quality framework used across the automotive, aerospace, and heavy industrial sectors to formally validate that a supplier's production process can consistently deliver parts that meet customer specifications. For many global buyers sourcing from India for the first time, coordinating a PPAP submission from an Indian manufacturer can feel overwhelming — particularly when navigating language barriers, unfamiliarity with the process, and tight submission deadlines. PARCOMP removes this complexity entirely.

Our PPAP service begins with a thorough gap analysis. We assess the manufacturer's current quality management systems against the required PPAP levels (Levels 1 through 5) and identify all documentation, testing, and process capability studies that need to be completed. We then work directly with the manufacturer's quality team to close each gap — conducting process capability studies (Cpk/Ppk), preparing measurement system analysis (MSA/Gauge R&R), compiling the Design FMEA and Process FMEA, creating the Control Plan and Process Flow Diagram, and gathering all required material and performance test reports.

All 18 elements of the PPAP submission are compiled, reviewed, and verified for accuracy before submission to the customer. We cross-check dimensional results against the Part Submission Warrant (PSW), ensure that all supporting documents are properly signed and stamped, and prepare the submission package in the exact format required by your quality team or customer-specific requirements (CSR). Where deviations exist, we coordinate the corrective action plan and manage resubmission cycles.

Our team has successfully managed PPAP submissions for automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers across Europe, North America, and Australia. We understand the urgency surrounding PPAP approvals in launch programmes and bring the technical rigour and project management discipline necessary to secure approval on time. With PARCOMP managing your PPAP process, you gain a trusted quality partner who bridges the gap between your engineering standards and your Indian manufacturer's capabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

We support all five PPAP submission levels as defined by the AIAG PPAP manual. Level 1 through Level 5 requirements are addressed based on your customer-specific requirements (CSR) or the default level specified in your supply agreement.
A straightforward Level 3 PPAP for a machined component typically takes 6 to 10 weeks from kick-off to PSW submission, covering tooling, trials, process capability studies, and documentation. Complex multi-material parts or those requiring third-party testing may take 10 to 16 weeks.
Yes — this is one of our most common scenarios. We conduct a detailed gap analysis, train the supplier team on PPAP requirements, and guide them through every element. Our on-site support ensures that the supplier not only completes the current submission but builds the internal capability to manage future PPAP requirements.
We formally document all rejection findings, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement a structured corrective action plan covering tooling, process, or documentation as needed. We manage re-submission cycles and maintain a deviation closure tracker until full approval is granted.
Yes. We regularly interface directly with customer Supplier Quality Engineers during dimensional review, process walk-throughs, and submission clarification. We ensure that all communication is transparent, documented, and aligned with your corporate quality protocols.
